Gamestarter is a complete gaming ecosystem that brings a new standard for indie game funding by building an NFT-based crowdfunding platform & marketplace. Furthermore, Gamestarter has an in-house game studio focused on building high-quality blockchain games. For a project with such an expansive vision, security is paramount.
Ensuring security and protection for users while maintaining a simple-to-use UI has been one of Gamestarter’s leading philosophies. We do this by utilizing proven, audited technology together with best practices: verified technological solutions and techniques that have been tested over time to build the fundamental platform infrastructure.
The Game is Yours
The Gamestarter platform is fueled by the ETH-based (BSC bridge available via Chainport) GAME Coin token. Owning GAME Coins enables users to purchase NFT assets on the Gamestarter network. Users can deposit $GAME to exchanges at any time by transferring the tokens from their personal accounts. Users’ balance and owned NFTs are displayed on their wallet interface.
Users can also transfer GAME coins to their personal accounts. No KYC is required to use the Gamestarter platform given that we do not manage user accounts. We only manage project accounts to which users transfer game coins when purchasing NFT’s.
Protecting the Launchpad Projects
Project funds are securely time locked in a smart contract once pledged, and can’t be moved to any non participating wallets. Once the project is funded, coins will be moved directly to the creator and NFT’s will be minted straight to participants wallets. Project contract source code will be audited and available to be publicly viewed for 100% transparency.
Securing the Marketplace
Marketplace transactions are performed on a smart contract. It allows users to skip the third-party middlemen and do instant transactions on a smart contract itself. This enables the secure exchange of NFT’s and Game Coins without input from any provider. Marketplace contract source code will be audited and available to be publicly viewed for 100% transparency.
Added Layers of Security
The Gamestarter’s smart contract was audited by Hacken.io, a leading smart contract security audit company, and a driving force behind securing Ethereum Smart Contracts. The audit involves the independent assessment of the code that has been produced to implement the terms of the smart contract. This process provides verification that the smart contract is free from logical and access control.
On the platform side, Gamestarter users have absolute control over their personal data and other sensitive information such as the encrypted seed phrase, addresses, keys, and account details. Gamestarter does not store any data; instead, public users simply link their own personal accounts to the platform via the Gamestarter user wallet. Therefore, all personal information is securely saved in the user’s local storage and cannot be accessed by any online app, website, or provider.
On top of that, MetaMask’s Eth-Keyring Library is used to store and manage accounts, providing an extra layer of protection. This means that for every transaction to be successfully processed, users are required to approve or reject the transaction via MetaMask. Other audited and proven open-source solutions are also leveraged to minimize the possibility of error.
