In recent years, launchpads have emerged as a popular way for Web3  projects to raise funds and gain exposure in the market. However, with so many launchpads available, it can be difficult for users to know which one to choose. One factor to consider is the refund policy offered by the launchpad. In this article, as we have been requested by our community, we will compare the refund policies of several popular launchpads to help you make an informed decision.

Here are some examples of different refund policies, if available, used by various other launchpads and Gamestarter:

Dao Maker

  • Dao Maker has no refund policy in place at the moment.

GameFI

  • Either claim the purchased tokens (claim request) or request a refund (refund request). After claiming purchased tokens, users cannot request a refund.
  • The refund request time is only valid within one hour after the token’s listing or claiming time, whichever is later. Within 72 hours, they can claim a total refund amount.

Red Kite

  • Users who haven’t yet claimed any tokens can get 100% of their money back if the token’s price drops below the IDO price within 48 hours from the listing time.

Infinity Pad

  • Infinitypad.com requires any given project to stay above SHO for 24 hours after the listing. Only then the first portion of funds will be released.
  • Projects must manage to maintain a price that is not less than 80% of SHO price. No token shall fall below this value for any 12 consecutive hours.
  • Until 40% of the supply is released, the 24h rule will apply to each vesting date.

TrustPad

  • TrustPad will require projects to stay above their IDO price until at least 41% of the distribution is complete. If the term does not fill, a poll is set to decide on a refund for the rest of the distributions.
  • TrustPad will provide guidance to the sale partners to sustain a high token price.

Seedify

  • Seedify will require projects to stay above the IGO price until 2 vesting is fully complete. This is mandatory for all projects in all market conditions.
  • If a project falls below the IGO price before 2 vestings are fully finished, and stays below the IGO price for a week, the Seedif community can do a poll and refund the rest of the vesting.

Polkastarter

  • Refunds after distribution and listing are not possible, given the decentralized nature of Polkastarter.

BullPerks

  • BullPerks will require projects to stay above the IDO price until at least 50% of tokens were distributed to the community from the public sale. This is mandatory for all projects in all market conditions.
  • If a project falls below the IDO price before 50% is distributed and stays below the IDO price for at least a week, then it will be considered as a legit reason for a refund of all further distributions.

Gamestarter

A) If there is a partial token release during the TGE, Gamestarter will issue:

  1. Full refund if the token price drops below 20% during the first 7 days from the TGE and does not return to at least the IDO price within 24 hours.
  2. Refund of remaining funds if during the remaining vesting cycle the token price drops below 50% from the IDO price and does not return to at least the IDO price by the 14th day from the vesting day.

B) If there is a 100% token release during the TGE, Gamestarter will issue a full refund if the token price drops 20% below the IDO price during the first 24 hours after the TGE.

Only the users who have at least 1000 Game tokens staked and have not sold or moved the tokens are eligible for the refund.

In conclusion, choosing the right launchpad for your needs involves considering many factors, including the refund policy offered by the platform. We have compared the refund policies of several popular launchpads in this article, including Gamestarter. However, we believe that every launchpad and their refund policy has its own benefits for the community depending on the individual investor’s needs and preferences.
